Trueform are a leading supplier of smart city street furniture and electronic digital signage.
An opportunity exists for new supervisor / manager to oversee the production, assembly, quality
& compliance of fabricated digital signage products within the company’s smart city digital
signage division.
The position would suit an individual with previous experience of electro-mechanical assembly gained at a supervisory or management level.

Accountability
The post holder reports to the Production Expediting Manager
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
• To manage a leading, high performing electro-mechanical assembly team to provide optimum results with uninterrupted delivery of final product against programme
• To manage all material distribution & compliance ensuring the flow of materials from production into assembly
• To manage the coordination of assembly priorities with MRP planner and in production workshops ensuring the progress of work at each key stage of manufacture
• To manage and provide work flow charts for individual work stations and compile detailed deadline reports for each team
• Production, assembly and engineering support
• To manage and oversee assembly processes and MRP data input
• To assist where required with the Companies manufacturing order processing system
• To oversee stock and inventory management within the department
• To attend internal meetings providing progress reports where required
• To highlight continuous improvement processes and cost saving initiatives and to encourage the use of programme/ planning tools
• To maintain a high standard and quality of work
• To monitor and drive improved quality & workmanship throughout Production & assembly
• To aid in identifying and enforcing MRP disciplines are abided by at all times to aid overall traceability of end product
• Other roles as identified
Specification
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Degree, HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, Construction or a similar discipline would be advantageous but not essential
• Significant previous experience in assembly electromechanically assembly and sheet metal fabrication supervision and management
• Previous material planning and logistics management experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent knowledge of production management, production management systems, tools and techniques
• Strong communication and man-management skills
• Knowledge of fabricated / sheet metal component manufacturing
• Knowledge in the use of MRP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Must be numerate / commercially astute
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and to be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills
• Driving license
• Fork lift license would e advantageous although refresher training can be given if required
