Trueform Complete State of the Art Taxi Canopy for King’s Cross St Pancras Station
May 2012
Trueform, leaders in Railway Transport Passenger Infrastructure in the UK, have, manufactured and installed a striking and impressive new state of the art Taxi Canopy at London’s King’s Cross Railway Station.
As part of the station redevelopment, Trueform were awarded the contract for the manufacture and installation of the canopy and other products such as Totems and signage.
The Taxi Canopy is very unique in it’s structure and appearance, complimenting the new spectacular concourse.
Working closely with Vinci Construction, Trueform was tasked with providing the bespoke and unique canopy that is in keeping with the design and material specification of the remarkable new Concourse.
The canopy features some unique and highly complex design and manufacturing details, with a vast steel and glass Lattice-work roof which forms a great spectacular but also functional canopy. The elegant canopy has been applauded for transforming the local environment and providing a high quality experience for passengers visiting and passing through the Station.
Kelvin Jacobs, Trueform’s Project Manager on the Kings Cross Station Development, has commented ‘We are proud of the work that has been achieved for this prestigious London King’s Cross Project, we feel the canopy represents the future in station design’
